I have a decade old bimmer....get a recall notice, and Vista is the closest shop. They said that recall just went out and to call back a few weeks from now to see if the part is in (they didn't take my name or number, I was to just call). That should have been the sign. Well I call 3 weeks later and get passed from one person to the next. Finally I must have gotten fed up enough that I get someone who knows that they are talking about, and says 'oh no, that part needs to be ordered for your car'. WTF. He puts me to Daniel who at that point is probably the 1st day on the job for him (he told me on 9/9 when I went in that he has been there for 3 weeks). Daniel said he would call me when it's in, should be here 'next week. Ok. I call two weeks later....speak to Daniel, and he calls parts, and look at that, the part is in. So he never called. Why am i hunting these people down?? You told me there is a recall (BMW that is).....I'm sorry if my decade old bimmer can't compete with a new 40K entry level car. Daniel tells me they have 150 bimmers to loan and if not a VW. Fine. I say I'll be in by 6 pm. I get there around 4. He's out to lunch. He did come back, knew I was there, but spent a few minutes on the phone. I was sitting as his desk so this got kind of awkward. Off the phone, he writes up the ticket....then tells me there are no freakin cars available to give me!!!!!! Says if I want to wait 10-15 minutes hopefully one comes in. Well it didn't. But then he says we are going to go over to Enterprise to give you a car. Umm..why didn't he do that before? Get to enterprise, one dude helping out 2 others and I'm 3rd in line. That guy says '15 minutes'. He needs to call over town to get some lady a luxury car b/c nothing else will do. I wait 15 minutes, hear what's going on, and walked out and went to the BMW department to ask for my keys back realizing I would be at Enterprise forever. I said this is ridiculous. So I'm close to an hour now (hour if you count the driving over) and I left never having dropped my car off. And to top it off, they pulled my car around, and the freakin gate won't go up. I have to get out of my car to say 'can you open the gate'. What a miserable experience here. Give Keith B. kudos for this review… Useful 2 Funny 1 Cool Alex L. Alex L. They lost the keys to my car, had to wait for more than 30 mins until they finally located my car and the keys. Yes, 30 mins to find a car in a shop! 3) Put extra charges on my final bill. When I asked to explain what they were for, no one could. After wasting another 25 mins and no one really knowing what the extra charges were for, got them removed. They sell you the car and promise great service and customer relations. They always end with you are now part of the Vista Family and then when service is up it is really bad. Took my car after one month of begin purchased (2011 335i) because the air conditioner was not working. The car was in the shop for almost 6 weeks. Went to the showroom and left my phone by accident. Receive a call from a friend that Vista BMW has the phone in the front desk. I call and confirm and then they tell me that the phone got stolen. The general manager is a very rude attitude dismissed me and told me to go home that it is not his problem I left the phone at vista. Boynton Beach, FL 0 friends 12 reviews Share review Compliment Send message Follow Ramon V. 1.0 star rating 3/4/2013 First let me say this is a review for Vista Service Dept. This is NOT a review of their sales dept which in my opinion is slightly better. I bought a brand new 335i from Vista around 2009. I took it in for service and repairs (under warranty) more times than I'd like to remember. I never had to pay a penny for any of the service/repairs performed. This is the ONLY reason I would keep going back. My service advisor was a very nice guy and I had no complaints about him, however every other aspect of this service dept is horrid. The loaner cars are filthy, I had one that was so dirty I paid to take it to a car wash (I knew I was going to have it for a few days). I could barley see out the windows it was so dirty. The inside had snot and spilled drinks all over the dash and seats. I also got another one that someone must have spilled a bottle of perfume or something in it. The smell was so over powering it was making my eyes water. Did no one notice this?? Surely at least 2 or 3 employees must have driven these cars with snot on the dash. No one had the brilliant thought of at least wiping the dash with a rag before handing it off to a customer? Their free car wash will leave your car dirtier than it went in. They just run it through a cheap automatic wash, do not clean the inside, do not dry it. I eventually learned to tell them to NEVER wash my car. (the free dealer wash on my VW was awesome!) Depending on the work they are doing they will also leave the inside of your car filthy (more on this later). Again all of this would be bearable if I only went there once or twice, but my car was constantly in the shop for warranty issues which they would have to repair more than once because they couldn't do it right the first time. But wait there's more! If all that wasn't enough... THEY CRASHED MY CAR! One day I bring in the car for service or whatever and as I am walking out with my paperwork to get a loaner I see my car stopped in the middle of the street out of the valet area but not inside the shop yet. All these people standing around it. I go see what is going on and see that they crashed my car into another one of the cars there. The whole front of the car was smashed. One of the managers or something was there and he was like are you the owner? Don't worry about it it's no big deal we will fix it. I'm freaking out because it will now show an accident on my carfax and god knows I don't really trust their ability to repair it and I will be stuck in their filthy loaner for who knows how long. Anyways long story short they finally fix the car. I come to pick it up and the interior is COVERED in dust (looked to be from sitting in the body shop). Again, how the hell do you return a car to the customer in this condition? It was clearly visible to the person driving the car out. I complain and they send some guy to wipe it down with a rag (smearing all the white powder, now a paste, everywhere). Seeing as how that was probably as good as it was ever going to get I leave (with the car still filthy). As soon as I get on the highway to go back to work I notice something fly off the car. I pull over and notice the BMW emblem on the hood (which was replace as part of the accident) had flown off. I immediately drive back to the dealer where I now have to wait for some other advisor (mine was not in) to come and look at it. I'm pretty pissed off at this point and I'm guessing the guy could tell because he's telling me not to worry its no big deal they will just stick another one on there. I have since gotten rid of that car and now own an out of warranty Z4M which will NEVER see the Vista service dept. If you have an out of warranty BMW I suggest you find a good independent shop. Over the course of a week, I negotiated with a car salesman, settled on a price, received a contract and confirmed the deal via email. I wired the funds in the next morning and later that day the salesman left me a message that the car was being test driven by another person, a friend of the manager, and might be sold. I told him that the car was no longer for sale, that we had a contract, they had my deposit, and that their manager should honor our contract. Needless to say, a day later I got a voice mail from the salesman telling me that the car had been sold to the other party. When I called to complain to Frank Lynch, the manager, he was quick to blame the salesman for violating every policy in the book, threw him under the bus, and rewrote the history of when the car had actually been sold. One of the two was lying, and candidly I think the salesman tried to do the right thing but his manager elected not to. Nevertheless Mr. Lynch gave me every assurance he'd find me another car and make it right. That was a week ago, and unfortunately as I expected, he's done nothing, has gone silent and won't respond to my emails. On top of that they still haven't refunded my deposit and my next call is to an attorney. DO NOT GET YOUR BMW SERVICED THERE. I have never seen so many dissatisfied customers at once. I went there on a Sunday for a simple xenon headlamp replacement. Although I applaud Vista for having Sunday hours, what's the point if you're going to FAIL while you're open? I called ahead and asked whether I need to make an appointment and I asked how long it would take to replace the bulb. The girl on the phone said, "No, just come on in, there's never a wait on Sunday and something like that should take 30 minutes or so". First off, there were only two service reps working... except that they have to go on lunch breaks so for the afternoon there's basically just one guy working. Despite that I was told I would be in-and-out in about 30 minutes, I actually waited there for 45 minutes before a rep could even see me. While I waited I observed customer after customer receiving awful service, many requesting to speak with a manager. After 45 minutes, Peter S., who lacks any semblance of professionalism, told me there's no guarantee they'd even finish my car that day (it was not even 1PM at the time), and they don't offer loaner cars on Sunday. I was so upset I just left. Not only will I never return for service to my BMW, I won't even consider buying a new car from Vista. By contrast, I have always worked with Braman either in WPB or Jupiter. The service department in Braman Jupiter is truly exceptional. I fixed this headlight issue there the next day. It took less than 90 minutes from the moment I set foot into Braman until the moment I drove off with my perfectly fixed up car. During that 90 minutes they offered me coffee & water, took care of my paper work, set me up with a complementary loaner car, replaced the xenon headlamp and replaced my windshield wipers and air filter (which they recommend I do while I was there, at no cost to me) and even cleaned my car! The support team, again similar to the first visit, was very patronizing and a bit chauvinistic. It took over a month to fix and return my car. Within that month I did not receive updates, in fact I had to call in multiple times in order to finally speak with the customer service rep who had been assigned to me who of course could not provide any details of the issues other than they're fixing something on the car. My husband had called around to a few different dealerships in hopes of finding an X1 in the color and price we were looking for. Three dealerships were around the same lease price per month, but Raj said "come on in and we can beat it." I had been to that dealership six years prior when I went to lease an X3 and found the sales advisors rude and off-putting and I couldn't leave fast enough. BUT, my husband felt Raj was honest, intelligent, and would get the deal done quickly. We have found that car shopping can be a very lengthy process and prefer to move through it as quick and painless as possible. Vista BMW has a few different locations and there was some miscommunication as to what dealership Raj was working at. We had agreed to meet Raj at the dealership at 5:30PM on a Friday night. When I arrived to the Vista BMW in Pompano, two sales associates were sitting at their desks for a few moments before I finally asked for assistance. Lazy is the first word that comes to mind. They never bothered to greet me or introduce themselves. I asked for Raj and they said he didn't work there and "too bad for him." I asked if they could help me, which was the first red flag as they should have jumped at the chance and ASKED FOR THE BUSINESS. I explained what I was looking for to an older gentleman and he began to try and find me in the system. After several minutes he finally asked for my phone number to continue searching for me in the system. After ten long minutes and building frustration, I realized this was going to be a painful and outrageously long process. I stated again exactly what I was looking for and if he could beat the price. He disappears and comes back with a price about $80 above per month. I grabbed my bag and left, not wanting to sit around and play games. My husband and I hurried out to coconut creek and arrived a little after 6:30PM hoping Raj had not left for the day as my husband was on the phone with him that morning at 9:01AM. To our luck, he was there! Instantly, we knew he was efficient and would do he best to help us. We negotiated the price and he had someone bring the car from their storage lot. While waiting, Raj insisted I test drive a similar X1, which was a really great idea. I had already test drove it, but it had been a while. The car felt small, but I was just relieved to get out of my VW Tiguan. When the actual X1 that I was purchasing arrived, Raj went around and showed me everything the car offered. Since I was looking for the cheapest X1 it did not have any of the bells and whistles you would expect from a 2014 BMW--specifically, no power seats. Unfortunately, it was not the car for me. Raj was positive and hopeful that we would find a car in my price range. Raj was searching for any available X1 with power seats that maybe had some miles on it (also known as a demo) to reduce the price. We then spoke directly with the manager and he assured me that they would find an X1 with power seats AND he would give it to me at the same lease price we agreed on for the first X1--miles or no miles on it! I couldn't believe it as adding power seats could have increased my monthly lease by $30. They asked for a deposit and we felt confident they would find a car and call us the next day. It was now 9:45PM and unbeknownst to us; the dealership had closed forty-five minutes ago! We never felt rushed and in fact the music was still playing. Raj never felt defeated and was extremely dedicated. Later that night my husband and I discussed adding larger down payment and a small monthly payment increase to possibly lease an X3. A huge leap in price, but we felt it was worth a shot to ask Raj. The next morning we called Raj on his cell at 8:45 (he was already in the office, he must sleep there!) and he said they ALREADY found an X1, but it required a trade on their part. We pitched our X3 idea and he said he would look into it. An hour later he called back with news that he had found one. In addition to it being the LAST Saturday of the month in June, Raj always remained in communication. After reviewing some numbers with Raj, my husband went to the dealership to check out the car. They had it ready for him out front and took him for a test drive. It was definitely the car for us! I then joined them at the dealership and to my surprise the paperwork was already in process. After one hour, everything was complete. The dealership was very busy, but they have sufficient staff and very courteous. At one point TWO other sales advisor asked us if we needed anything as they were walking by--a very different experience from six years ago. I don't usually write reviews, but I felt honored to write how great our experience was with Raj and the manager John, from BMW Vista in Coconut Creek.
